My journey into serious gardening didn’t start with a grand plan; it started with a setback. Back in 2016, I was just starting my career as a financial associate after graduating in textiles. Life was moving fast. But in 2019, when the pandemic hit, I lost my job, and like many others, I found myself with a lot of uncertainty and a lot of free time.
It was during this quiet, challenging period that I rediscovered an old love: gardening. My friends, who had been passionate gardeners for years, were all turning to their gardens for peace and joy. They inspired me to get my hands dirty again. I still have a vivid, happy memory of going with a few of them to pick out our first rose pots together as we all started our little green projects. That small act of planting something brought an unexpected sense of hope.
The “Aha!” Moment: Why We Started This Blog
This blog wasn’t born in a boardroom; it was born from a conversation between five friends sitting in a garden.
We were constantly talking about our gardening problems—why a plant’s leaves were turning yellow, how to get rid of a stubborn pest, or why our tomatoes just weren’t growing well. We would search online for solutions, but the answers we found were often too complicated, too generic, or just didn’t feel like they were written for people like us.
One evening, one of us said, “If we are all facing these same problems, surely thousands of other beginners are too. What if we created the resource we wish we had?”

More Than Just a Hobby
For me, gardening has become more than just a hobby. As a stock market trader, I’ve found that the patience, observation, and psychological calm that gardening teaches me have made me better at my job. It’s a powerful reminder that growth takes time and care. And yes, I also have a deep love for pets (especially my cat!), so you might see that passion pop up here and there!
